Research shows that the brain grows most rapidly in the first six years of life, with about 80% developing by age three and 90% by age five. We do this by nurturing their executive functions, often called the brain’s “traffic control system.” These skills help children manage their thoughts, actions, and emotions so they can plan, focus, and solve problems effectively.

Research shows that developmentally appropriate play/work, especially through positive interactions with parents, teachers, and peers, supports the growth of social, emotional, and cognitive skills that build a strong brain foundation.
