Our Purpose

As an organization founded in the Treaty 7 Region of Southern Alberta, Canada, Fueling Brains Academy respects and honors the diverse histories, languages, cultures and experiences of First Nations, Métis, Inuit and First Peoples of Canada. We extend this respect and honour to the diversity in our community that includes but is not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, socio-economic status, class, and religion. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that brings together diverse perspectives from our students, staff, and families. We acknowledge the history of racism and discrimination in Canada and are committed to ensuring history does not repeat itself within our own communities and classrooms. We ensure that every policy we put in place, every learning plan we develop, and all of our teaching practices for students, staff, and the wider community alike, are equitable, diverse and inclusionary.
