A Space for Active Growth:
At Fueling Brains Academy, the Movement environment supports children’s physical development while strengthening executive functions such as self-regulation, attention control, working memory, and flexible thinking. Through active play, children build coordination, balance, strength, and body awareness that support overall learning.
Safe and Purposeful Setup:
The Movement classroom is open, safe, and intentionally organized to encourage active exploration. Clear boundaries, routines, and expectations help children practice inhibitory control (stopping and starting actions appropriately) while engaging confidently in movement-
based challenges.
Guided Learning Through Movement:
Teachers support both structured and unstructured movement experiences. Through observation and guidance, they help children follow directions, sustain attention, and develop task persistence. These experiences strengthen working memory and cognitive
flexibility as children adjust to different movement challenges and group activities.
Balanced Routines and Transitions:
Daily routines include a balance of high-energy movement and calm-down activities. Predictable transitions support children in practicing emotional regulation, planning ahead, and shifting attention between tasks, which are key components of executive functioning.
Building Lifelong Skills:
The Movement environment supports more than physical development. Through purposeful active play in a structured and supportive setting, children strengthen executive functions, build confidence, and develop the self-control and focus needed for lifelong learning success.
